Gamma
Web Design
Gamma is an AI-powered platform for creating, collecting, and trading digital art built on Bitcoin’s Ordinals and Stacks ecosystems. In 2022, the platform was experiencing high bounce rates on collection pages, low listing completion rates, and user confusion around the difference between Ordinals and Stacks-based NFTs. The project faced three core constraints: a small engineering team (3 developers), an aggressive 8-week timeline to ship before a major marketplace launch, and the need to support two fundamentally different blockchain protocols with a unified UX. As the lead UX designer, I owned the end-to-end redesign of the browse experience, collection detail pages, item listing flow, and the blog/editorial content system. I worked directly with the CTO and one product manager to define scope, and collaborated with two front-end engineers on implementation.

Challenge
The project faced multiple hurdles that impacted user engagement and conversions. First, the website had a high bounce rate, with many visitors leaving without exploring key features or signing up. Second, the messaging failed to immediately convey Gamma’s AI-powered advantages, leaving users unsure of its benefits.
Objective
The primary objective was to create a website that clearly communicated Gamma’s value, improved user engagement, and increased conversions.
Results
The redesign delivered strong outcomes, validating the strategic improvements. Sign-up conversions increased by 30%, thanks to clearer value propositions and strategically placed CTAs. The bounce rate dropped by 25% as users engaged more with interactive demos and streamlined content.
